The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tiaguinho Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Alagoano in the 3rd minute of play. In the 19th minute of the game, Dylan Browne landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 19 minutes, Aaron Cortez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trindade Atlético Club and the Jenipapo SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jenipapo SC made a substitution. Dion Hislop replaced Dylan Browne. A collision led to Trindade Atlético Club getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Aaron Cortez hit a great ball. Tiaguinho Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Junior in the 23rd minute of play. After 25 minutes Trindade Atlético Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arsenio Gipuzkoa who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Raphael Cunha heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Cunha in the 29th minute of play forced Trindade Atlético Club's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Jenipapo SC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Dion Hislop hit a great ball. 于竞思 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Seaman having to interfere. Trindade Atlético Club's Tiaguinho Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Cunha in the 36th minute of play. Maurício Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. David Seaman was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from 于竞思. Tiaguinho Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Cunha in the 45th minute of play. Raphael Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Dragoş Vâtcu in the 55th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aníbal Alagoano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Tiaguinho Correia made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aníbal Alagoano in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiaguinho Correia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 59 minutes of play, Trindade Atlético Club's Róbson Couto made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Seaman was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had been going on for 64 minutes, Jenipapo SC's Aníbal Alagoano got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tiaguinho Correia. A collision led to Jenipapo SC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Zé Carlos Monteiro hit a great ball. David Seaman came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Trindade Atlético Club's Róbson Couto. But to his dismay, Róbson Couto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. David Seaman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Róbson Couto's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dragoş Vâtcu, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Cortez in the 76th minute of play. Pompiliu Poalelungi hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Trindade Atlético Club's Ruperto Emenon was substituted for Fulgencio Rius. Pompiliu Poalelungi kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute of the match Dragoş Vâtcu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Seaman skillfully saved the ball. David Seaman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wasyl Fetor went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. With an all-out effort, Jenipapo SC's Tiaguinho Correia threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aníbal Alagoano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Trindade Atlético Club's Johann Depay got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jenipapo SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Trindade Atlético Club.
