After 10 minutes Racing Club Canillo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Trevor Lincoln who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to CA Piratas's Eduard Dășanu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Blowman in the 25th minute of play forced Racing Club Canillo's goalkeeper Carmelo Orkatz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Racing Club Canillo getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ashley Haigh hit a great ball. After 30 minutes CA Piratas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Keanu Guest who took care of the corner kick. In the 33rd minute Giannis Antetokounmpo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmelo Orkatz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Billy Blowman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CA Piratas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Billy Blowman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Orkatz having to interfere. Keanu Guest was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 46th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Racing Club Canillo's Bartolo Nofre was substituted for Ray Milburn. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Dybala to strike the kick off in the second half. Denis Drăgoescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carmelo Orkatz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Denis Drăgoescu ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to CA Piratas getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Martyn West hit a great ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Paulo Dybala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club Canillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Dybala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulo Dybala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Birant Kayrar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the CA Piratas defense, Paulo Dybala kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Birant Kayrar. The CA Piratas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Birant Kayrar should have stopped the shot. Paulo Dybala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birant Kayrar having to interfere. Racing Club Canillo's Carmelo Orkatz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Racing Club Canillo from getting a goal against them. 74 minutes into the match, Paulo Dybala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Birant Kayrar. CA Piratas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Dybala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Dybala in the 76th minute of play forced CA Piratas's goalkeeper Birant Kayrar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Paulo Dybala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Birant Kayrar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Dybala, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Birant Kayrar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Racing Club Canillo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
