After a rather tough play, Valencia C.F.'s Ryan Plumber got a free kick in the 10th minute. When Valencia C.F.'s Joe Herring in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UE Sant Julià's goalie prevented a goal. The corner led to Valencia C.F.'s Yuan Wei Han getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Johnnie Dobson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yuan Wei Han showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. Jerry Lodge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryan Hornsby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 played minutes Valencia C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Nóbrega. If Joe Herring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 冯剑昆 during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 冯剑昆 hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Valencia C.F.'s Jerry Lodge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David López in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Perry Swanson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joe Herring in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johnnie Dobson saved UE Sant Julià from getting behind. Jerry Lodge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perry Swanson, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Martyn Smart in the 65th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Valencia C.F.'s Oliver Bean. Oliver Bean hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After 76 played minutes Valencia C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Nóbrega. Valencia C.F.'s Tuncay Candeğer was substituted for Alfred Claydon. In the 77th minute, Emílio Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joe Herring in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johnnie Dobson saved UE Sant Julià from getting behind. Johnnie Dobson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joe Herring's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. In the 86th minute Joe Herring shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnnie Dobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Perry Swanson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Perry Swanson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Jerry Lodge made a huge save. In the 92nd match minute, Valencia C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Martyn Smart in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Valencia C.F.'s Oliver Bean. When the referee ended the match the Valencia C.F. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
