In the 4th minute, Serafino Ostots hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 5th minute of the match Claudio Cerritos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornelio Asteri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Isidoro Baristo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Bernaldo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Guansa's zone, Leopoldo Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornelio Asteri came out of the goal and Leopoldo Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Darryl Buckner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's supporters rose to their feet, but Darryl Buckner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Asteri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Darryl Buckner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornelio Asteri having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darryl Buckner in the 27th minute of play forced Guansa's goalkeeper Cornelio Asteri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victoriano Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Baristo in the 29th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Darryl Buckner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Asteri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Guansa's Anier Pedroso got a free kick in the 37th minute. The supporters of Guansa booed when Dep Colonia Avellaneda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santo Libertad didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Mariano Silbestre in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Guansa's Hector Terciero. After a defensive mix-up in Dep Colonia Avellaneda's zone, Isidoro Baristo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Bernaldo came out of the goal and Isidoro Baristo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darryl Buckner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornelio Asteri having to make a save. Guansa's Cornelio Asteri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darryl Buckner in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Dep Colonia Avellaneda were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Leopoldo Rosa took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cornelio Asteri. Cornelio Asteri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Anier Pedroso hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Darryl Buckner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Guansa's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Leopoldo Rosa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Leopoldo Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Asteri having to interfere. Leopoldo Rosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isidoro Baristo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darryl Buckner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Asteri having to interfere. Darryl Buckner struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Cornelio Asteri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dep Colonia Avellaneda. Darryl Buckner might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cornelio Asteri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Darryl Buckner ran back to his position shaking his head. Cornelio Asteri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Buckner, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Darryl Buckner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornelio Asteri having to make a save. Darryl Buckner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Cornelio Asteri made a huge save. If Leopoldo Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Dep Colonia Avellaneda could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Guansa throughout the match.
