After a defensive mix-up in Defensores de Lombroso's zone, Idar Dyrstad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gianluca Buffon came out of the goal and Idar Dyrstad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute of the match, Mugurel Ghiță tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gianluca Buffon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Sauveur in the 21st minute of play forced Amelie FC's goalkeeper Máximo Portero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Amelie FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Sauveur came free, but Máximo Portero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Lionel-Andrés Messi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Máximo Portero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Defensores de Lombroso's Gianluca Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Silvanito in the 41st minute of play. Amelie FC's Mugurel Ghiță was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gianluca Buffon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bruno Sauveur was the one to do the kick off. Gerard López struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Gianluca Buffon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amelie FC. If Gerard López had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Amelie FC's Victorio Honrio got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Gerard López sped through Defensores de Lombroso's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gianluca Buffon.
