The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornelio Asteri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 8 minutes into the game, Bonifacio Uzuri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guansa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Lorenzo the free kick. In the 8th match minute, Guansa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Uzuri to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Mo Yi Sang fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cornelio Asteri, passed just outside the right post. In the 19th match minute, Guansa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Bazkoare to maneuver through the defense. Guansa's Cornelio Asteri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Guansa from getting a goal against them. Gigi Penaru was slow to take the kick. During this time San Lorenzo's players had a chance to rest. The corner led San Lorenzo's Gigi Penaru to fire away a dangerous shot which Cornelio Asteri despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Matias Carlomagno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Baristo in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isidoro Baristo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mo Yi Sang in the 53rd minute of play forced Guansa's goalkeeper Cornelio Asteri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
