If Serafim Catranides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uriel Chorche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darryl Buckner in the 16th minute of the match. Alifonso Irureta kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Claudio Cerritos got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Darryl Buckner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uriel Chorche read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfonso Gilabert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 33rd minute, Florencio Carlomagno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes in the game Mariano Silbestre did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Wei Li. Vasile Tufescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Uriel Chorche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfonso Gilabert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
