Mo Yi Sang hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Santos de Buenos Aires FC's zone, Mo Yi Sang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliciano Ayala came out of the goal and Mo Yi Sang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute, Danilo Seber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mo Yi Sang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Feliciano Ayala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mo Yi Sang in the 19th minute of play. San Lorenzo's Doni Arce quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Teodosio James, made in the 21st minute of the game. Marcin Hodyl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Matias Carlomagno made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Albino Canor slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Matias Carlomagno. That made the score 2-0 after 29 minutes of play. Mo Yi Sang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mo Yi Sang in the 37th minute of play forced Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Feliciano Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Doni Arce. 46 minutes in the game Danilo Seber did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Albino Canor. 47 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goal looked a bit too open when Albino Canor came free, but Matias Carlomagno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wilfredo Vimaro in the 49th minute. A nice corner shot did that Wilfredo Vimaro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Matias Carlomagno quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

San Lorenzo's Matias Carlomagno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Seber in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goal looked a bit too open when Albino Canor came free, but Matias Carlomagno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodosio James in the 64th minute of play forced San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Matias Carlomagno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute Albino Canor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Carlomagno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Canor in the 69th minute of play forced San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Matias Carlomagno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Santos de Buenos Aires FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 87th minute of the match Santos de Buenos Aires FC got a corner. San Lorenzo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wilfredo Vimaro ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Santos de Buenos Aires FC's corner Wilfredo Vimaro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Matias Carlomagno quite easily take care of the ball. Feliciano Ayala made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Mo Yi Sang sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo's zone, Hipolito Rozarius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Carlomagno came out of the goal and Hipolito Rozarius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
