Victoriano Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mo Yi Sang in the 31st minute of the match. If Mo Yi Sang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The throw-in from Claudio Cerritos in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by San Lorenzo's Osvaldo Llorienzo. Mo Yi Sangs short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Victoriano Bernaldo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Matias Carlomagno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Rosa in the 67th minute of play. Dep Colonia Avellaneda were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after San Lorenzo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Claudio Cerritos took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Darryl Buckner managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The supporters of San Lorenzo booed when Dep Colonia Avellaneda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Lesardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Victoriano Bernaldo managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when San Lorenzo's Mo Yi Sang fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wei Li in the 73rd minute of play forced San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Matias Carlomagno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute Mo Yi Sang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Bernaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo's Mo Yi Sang got a free kick in the 84th minute. Mo Yi Sang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Matias Carlomagno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Despite being the better team, Dep Colonia Avellaneda failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
