The audience thought a goal was coming when Mihăiţă Ilarie got free with Lino Mazza in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Calistrat Madgearu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Valines, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebiu Tunar in the 9th minute of play forced MIT's goalkeeper Calistrat Madgearu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Lino Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Eusebiu Tunar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Calistrat Madgearu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tiberiu Caramarin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lino Mazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Calistrat Madgearu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Alagoano in the 24th minute of the match. Charalambos Vokolos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Calistrat Madgearu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calistrat Madgearu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flavio Valines in the 82nd minute.
