The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute of the match, Benedykt Mochadlo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fidel Hernando saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Michal Zbydniewski was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 8 minutes into the match. If Angel Teofilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Waclaw Drozdowski came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the FC WAWER fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waclaw Drozdowski couldn't finish the play. Waclaw Drozdowski succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 25th playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogumil Balonek in the 29th minute of play forced Northern California's goalkeeper Fidel Hernando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angel Teofilio to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, FC WAWER's Patryk Solibieda got control of the ball when Marcelino Olo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Northern California fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Northern California's Angel Teofilio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 65th minute of the match Bogumil Balonek sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fidel Hernando skillfully saved the ball. After 65 minutes, Candido Bartoli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Northern California and the FC WAWER players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pankracy Balonek in the 71st minute of play forced Northern California's goalkeeper Fidel Hernando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Iwo Rybak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Hernando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC WAWER's attentive Waclaw Drozdowski managed to snatch the ball when Antonio Mendebal made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. After 85 played minutes FC WAWER got a freekick which was hit by Pankracy Balonek. A hard shot by Antonio Mendebal from long distance, 86 minutes into the match, got Patryk Solibieda's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
