The Academia Militar MZ fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Academia Militar MZ's Orlando de Andrade looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Armandinho Mattos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrianinho de Salles in the 25th minute. Rodriguinho Valladares charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodriguinho Valladares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Academia Militar MZ booed when Wakanda fv FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodriguinho Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Adrianinho de Salles dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Armandinho Mattos, 2-0. Tomás Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Waldemar Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrianinho de Salles scored 3-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armandinho Mattos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 39 minutes into the match, Wakanda fv FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando de Andrade came free, but Armandinho Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Orlando de Andrade during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes Academia Militar MZ got a freekick which was hit by Orlando de Andrade. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 54th minute Dedé Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armandinho Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toninho Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armandinho Mattos having to interfere. Dedé Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armandinho Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toninho Dias in the 65th minute of the match. After 68 minutes of play, Academia Militar MZ's Orlando de Andrade made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armandinho Mattos was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 71st match minute, Academia Militar MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho de Salles to maneuver through the defense. Wakanda fv FSCMZ's Armandinho Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrianinho de Salles in the 73rd minute of play. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Academia Militar MZ! Dedé Carneiro hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 84th play minutes Rogério Gaúcho shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Armandinho Mattos and just under the crossbar into goal. Toninho Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Academia Militar MZ's Adrianinho de Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Academia Militar MZ's Silvério Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Camargo in the 96th minute of play. Academia Militar MZ's Silvério Netto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Academia Militar MZ from getting a goal against them. Academia Militar MZ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
