Caetano Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Goizeder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caetano Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Berdoi in the 11th minute of play. After 13 minutes of play, Northern California's Pablo Henrico made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caetano Monteiro came out of the goal and Aurelio Berdoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caetano Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Berdoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 22nd minute Luciano Goizeder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 26 minutes, Aurelio Berdoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Northern California's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Berdoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Luciano Goizeder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caetano Monteiro. Icoara Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luciano Goizeder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 30th minute Felipe Ereinotz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Henrico in the 32nd minute of play forced Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Caetano Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laércio das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Egídio Lucas hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Caetano Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Goizeder, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian da Rocha in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Icoara Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Henrico came free, but Caetano Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pablo Henrico in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caetano Monteiro saved Icoara Football Club from getting behind. A collision led to Icoara Football Club getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Valdo Lima hit a great ball. Caetano Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Goizeder, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half Northern California were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gustavo Isazi to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Gustavo Isazi notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro. Caetano Monteiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Icoara Football Club's zone, Gustavo Isazi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caetano Monteiro came out of the goal and Gustavo Isazi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustavo Isazi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Caetano Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurelio Berdoi got free with Caetano Monteiro in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Henrico in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Luciano Goizeder dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Caetano Monteiro, 0-5. Gustavo Isazi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Caetano Monteiro having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Cristian da Rocha put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Caetano Monteiro. Pablo Henrico's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Caetano Monteiro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Caetano Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Isazi in the 73rd minute of play. Caetano Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Goizeder in the 85th minute of play. Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Icoara Football Club from getting a goal against them. In the 88th minute of the match, Aurelio Berdoi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Caetano Monteiro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the final whistle sounded Northern California left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Icoara Football Club.
