Anthony Vaissière showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Baggio, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The supporters of Stade Ygossais booed when Westra Aros SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Baggio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 minutes Stade Ygossais's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Normando Portillo who took care of the corner kick. After 31 minutes, Basilio Arnuero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Westra Aros SK and the Stade Ygossais players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anthony Vaissière took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gökberk Özgenc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, Westra Aros SK's Roberto Baggio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anthony Vaissière made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3.

Gökberk Özgenc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anthony Vaissière read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Stade Ygossais's goalkeeper Anthony Vaissière, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
