After a rather tough play, Westra Aros SK's Patrik Wacherhausen got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Northern California's Domingos Savier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gökberk Özgenc in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Gökberk Özgenc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th minute, Northern California's Luciano Goizeder ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ivan Västlund. Ivan Västlund yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 28 minutes into the game, Felipe Ereinotz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Northern California's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Westra Aros SK the free kick. In the 28th minute, Felipe Ereinotz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Westra Aros SK getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gökberk Özgenc hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Northern California's Gustavo Isazi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivan Västlund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ivan Västlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Goizeder in the 35th minute of play. Domingos Savier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gökberk Özgenc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gökberk Özgenc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The supporters of Northern California booed when Westra Aros SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Baggio didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Northern California's Domingos Savier got control of the ball when Gökberk Özgenc tried to sneak it across the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Northern California's goalkeeper Domingos Savier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gökberk Özgenc. In the 64th minute Gökberk Özgenc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Savier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Västlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Isazi, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Westra Aros SK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luciano Goizeder was slow to take the kick. During this time Northern California's players had a chance to rest. Ivan Västlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian da Rocha in the 70th minute of the match. Ivan Västlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Goizeder, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute, Gökberk Özgenc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Northern California supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Westra Aros SK's performance. The match ended with a win for Westra Aros SK.
