Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fikri Doğu started the match with the kick off. Necip Ulumeriç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Necip Ulumeriç fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Savsat JK's protests and gave Necip Ulumeriç a yellow card for diving instead. Erhun Şendoğan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kutlu Doğanten in the 9th minute of the match. Baha Sungurbay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Süruri Sıraç having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Fikri Doğu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Süruri Sıraç. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. The Savsat JK fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Savsat JK's Kutlu Doğanten looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Erhun Şendoğan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hakkı Onur Tugal, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After some careless play in the Savsat JK defense, Fikri Doğu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Süruri Sıraç. The Savsat JK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Süruri Sıraç should have stopped the shot. Fikri Doğu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fikri Doğu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 49th minute, Orhan Veli Okkan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 51 minutes, Şensoy Bakırcı mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Savsat JK and the Göztepe players grew even worse after the yellow card. Şensoy Bakırcı hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hakkı Onur Tugal made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Göztepe's Özkan İnanöz got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute, Göztepe's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kutlu Doğanten fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Fikri Doğu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Savsat JK's goalkeeper Süruri Sıraç, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Baha Sungurbay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erhun Şendoğan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kutlu Doğanten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Savsat JK's Süruri Sıraç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baha Sungurbay in the 71st minute of play. Şensoy Bakırcı received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Erhun Şendoğan came out and tried to block the shot, but Şensoy Bakırcı slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 78th minute. A collision led to Savsat JK getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Necip Ulumeriç hit a great ball. Erhun Şendoğan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hakkı Onur Tugal in the 91st minute of play. Kutlu Doğanten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erhun Şendoğan having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Göztepe's zone, Kutlu Doğanten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erhun Şendoğan came out of the goal and Kutlu Doğanten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erhun Şendoğan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hakkı Onur Tugal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
