Kütahya's Halit Fahri Rahmi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mete Zade in the 8th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Kütahya's zone, Mete Zade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Halit Fahri Rahmi came out of the goal and Mete Zade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute, Hakkı Kenan Erçelik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mete Zade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 minutes of play, Günyüzü's Hakkı Kenan Erçelik made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Halit Fahri Rahmi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 35th match minute, Kütahya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Necati Koç to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Günyüzü's İlhami Acabey got a free kick in the 39th minute. Nazmi Sönmez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Behlül Eryilmaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Behlül Eryilmaz in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bahadırhan Bayraktar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Kütahya:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Günyüzü:s goal. The referee gave Günyüzü a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Batuğ Talaykan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kütahya's Halit Fahri Rahmi. 0-2.
The audience was convinced that Behlül Eryilmaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bahadırhan Bayraktar was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. 57 minutes into the game, Ali Orhan Baytugay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After a defensive mix-up in Günyüzü's zone, Behlül Eryilmaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bahadırhan Bayraktar came out of the goal and Behlül Eryilmaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Günyüzü players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
