Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fikri Doğu started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Kecierengücü's Kürşat Ertaş got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Erhun Şendoğan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Reis Yay showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Özkan İnanöz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Göztepe's Erhun Şendoğan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reis Yay in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fikri Doğu in the 19th minute of play forced Kecierengücü's goalkeeper Vural Şahinalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vural Şahinalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arif Gaffar Hitit in the 21st minute of play. When Reis Yay came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Kecierengücü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reis Yay couldn't finish the play. Erhun Şendoğan had in the 27thth minute some difficulties stopping Anıl Deren's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Reis Yay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anıl Deren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erhun Şendoğan. Göztepe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 32 minutes, Özkan İnanöz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Göztepe and the Kecierengücü players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Göztepe getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Özkan İnanöz hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Göztepe's goalkeeper Erhun Şendoğan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kürşat Ertaş. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reis Yay was the one to do the kick off. Baha Sungurbay received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vural Şahinalp came out and tried to block the shot, but Baha Sungurbay slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 54th minute. The Kecierengücü fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Kecierengücü's Reis Yay looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vural Şahinalp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baha Sungurbay in the 66th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reis Yay in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erhun Şendoğan saved Göztepe from getting behind. Kürşat Ertaş took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erhun Şendoğan. Erhun Şendoğan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Erhun Şendoğan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kürşat Ertaş in the 75th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Kecierengücü's Kürşat Ertaş sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erhun Şendoğan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Kecierengücü fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Kecierengücü's Reis Yay looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Kecierengücü's İskender Değirmenci got a free kick in the 81st minute. Arif Ensar İzgü's late challenge caught a Kecierengücü's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arif Ensar İzgü helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Göztepe getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Arif Ensar İzgü hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the match, Göztepe's goal looked a bit too open when Reis Yay came free, but Erhun Şendoğan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Göztepe booed when Kecierengücü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erkin Yıldırım didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Kecierengücü's Vural Şahinalp got control of the ball when Baha Sungurbay tried to sneak it across the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Göztepe players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kecierengücü.
