Cezary Siedlecki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wesley Diniz in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Sandro Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alvirrubro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lewonie SSA the free kick. In the 19th minute Ulryk Orlicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Eduardo Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ernani Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alvirrubro FC's protests and gave Ernani Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Alvirrubro FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ernani Andrade hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Wesley Diniz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cezary Siedlecki. Cezary Siedlecki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvirrubro FC. Teobald Kosiorek's late challenge caught a Alvirrubro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Alvirrubro FC's Wesley Diniz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cezary Siedlecki. That made the score 2-0 after 48 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
