Patagonia's Peter Schmeichel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save A.C. Patagonia from getting a goal against them. If Dariusz Wos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the match, DREAM TEAM WORLD's goal looked a bit too open when Dariusz Wos came free, but Lu Zhen Sheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Dariusz Wos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.C. Patagonia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Peter Schmeichel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Koča Kafarov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dariusz Wos in the 35th minute of play forced DREAM TEAM WORLD's goalkeeper Lu Zhen Sheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lu Zhen Sheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dariusz Wos in the 36th minute of play. Peter Schmeichel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Koča Kafarov in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dariusz Wos in the 46th minute of play forced DREAM TEAM WORLD's goalkeeper Lu Zhen Sheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dariusz Wos was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, A.C. Patagonia's Rui Costa got a free kick in the 58th minute. A.C. Patagonia made a substitution. Gustav Siöman replaced Rui Costa. A collision led to A.C. Patagonia getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Rui Costa hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind DREAM TEAM WORLD's goalkeeper Lu Zhen Sheng, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lu Zhen Sheng made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Aldo Di Carlo sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Paulo Jon managed to get in a good position for a shot. DREAM TEAM WORLD's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Jon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Schmeichel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. DREAM TEAM WORLD's Waldemar Cardozo was substituted for Koča Kafarov. The supporters of DREAM TEAM WORLD booed when A.C. Patagonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cazimir Șeicaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waldemar Cardozo in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Schmeichel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute Aldo Di Carlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lu Zhen Sheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aldo Di Carlo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 85 minutes into the game, Wiktor Bielatowicz threw the ball into play from the sideline. A.C. Patagonia's Demy Vennegoor quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Lu Zhen Sheng was a little too slow when Aldo Di Carlo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Cardozo in the 89th minute of play forced A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A.C. Patagonia's Szymon Jaszyna quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Wiktor Bielatowicz, made in the 92nd minute of the game. The supporters of A.C. Patagonia booed when DREAM TEAM WORLD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Nevada didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Szymon Jaszyna came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the A.C. Patagonia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Szymon Jaszyna couldn't finish the play.

The A.C. Patagonia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
