The corner went over the outstretched arms of Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goalie and right to Tayyar Taner. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Racing Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eriberto Kimetz in the 40th minute. A nice corner shot did that Eriberto Kimetz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eric Soned quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 45th match minute, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nickolai Nickerson to maneuver through the defense. After 45 played minutes, Racing Club's Tayyar Taner shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eric Soned came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Racing Club reached it. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Racing Club's İskender Baki Sabi was substituted for Godofredo Remigio. Racing Club's Eriberto Kimetz quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 76 played minutes Étoile Sportive Du Sahel got a freekick which was hit by Carlo Ancelotti. In the 78th minute, İskender Baki Sabi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee felt a red card was in order, 93 minutes into the game, when Geovanni de Medeiros put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Étoile Sportive Du Sahel:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Racing Club:s goal. In the 96th minute of the game, Racing Club got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post.

The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Racing Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
