Camilo Salvidor was a little too slow when Frits van Gaal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. Camilo Salvidor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frits van Gaal, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The supporters of Menchu FC booed when S.E. Pindorama Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frits van Gaal didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Gabriele Batistuta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Ştefan Magheran came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the S.E. Pindorama Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ştefan Magheran couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abdoulay Doucouré was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th minute, Juvenal Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 51 minutes into the match, S.E. Pindorama Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriele Batistuta came free, but Vassilis Nentakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vassilis Nentakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Campelo in the 54th minute of play. Camilo Salvidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 58th minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Vassilis Nentakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save S.E. Pindorama Eagles from getting a goal against them. Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 63rd minute of play. Menchu FC made a substitution. Arturo Roderigo replaced Peter Söderqwist. A collision led to S.E. Pindorama Eagles getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Juvenal Antunes hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute, Luis Vasquez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.E. Pindorama Eagles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. A nice corner shot did that Silverio Sergi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vassilis Nentakis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Vassilis Nentakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Sergi in the 77th minute of play. Camilo Salvidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Vasquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Luis Vasquez in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Vassilis Nentakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Campelo in the 94th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. S.E. Pindorama Eagles had won after a very even match.
