Dawid Bielecki ran over to the corner to take the kick. Richie Puch was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When Richie Puch came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Gwarek Zabrze fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richie Puch couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pawel Wielowiejski got free with Vilmantas Matulas in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute Pawel Wielowiejski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilmantas Matulas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 played minutes Gwarek Zabrze's Pawel Wielowiejski stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Vilmantas Matulas stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing FC Žalia Giria of the goal. FC Žalia Giria's Jack Grealish was substituted for Vytautas Petkus. Vilmantas Matulas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richie Puch in the 35th minute of the match. Pawel Wielowiejski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pawel Wielowiejski in the 92nd minute of play forced FC Žalia Giria's goalkeeper Vilmantas Matulas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gwarek Zabrze's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
