With a left leg Álvaro Perpiñán saved Sporting Burgas from getting behind. Sporting Burgas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Davor Šuker in the 47th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Davor Šuker was the one to do the kick off. In the 85th minute, Antonio Fioriti made a precise shot to the right of Ahmet Gündüz Yaşer. Bigoton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ke Xiong Chen in the 93rd minute of play forced Bigoton's goalkeeper Ahmet Gündüz Yaşer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
