Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sergiu Coșeriu started the match with the kick off. Guarulhas's Bret Harper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergiu Coșeriu in the 5th minute of play. Sergiu Coșeriu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Bret Harper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9thth minute of the game Marcel Baiano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia Rio's Aurelian Coporan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Guarulhas fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Guarulhas's Marcel Baiano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Guarulhas getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Hudson Queirós hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Sergiu Coșeriu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Guarulhas's Bret Harper. Bret Harper was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Remo Mineiro kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Academia Rio's Radu Păvăloae dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. 26 minutes into the match, Guarulhas's goalkeeper Bret Harper had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergiu Coșeriu. 30 minutes into the match, Radu Păvăloae notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Guarulhas's Bret Harper. Bret Harper was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Academia Rio's Sergiu Coșeriu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 32nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Bret Harper made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Dorel Nedelciu sent off a good shot on target. 6-1 became the score in the 36th minute when Dorel Nedelciu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 45 minutes, Marcel Baiano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guarulhas and the Academia Rio players grew even worse after the yellow card. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcel Baiano was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Sergiu Coșeriu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bret Harper was relentless in the 50th minute of the game. Academia Rio's Aurelian Coporan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Academia Rio from getting a goal against them. After 65 minutes Guarulhas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dumitru Pantelimon who took care of the corner kick. After having played for 66 minutes, Sergiu Coșeriu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia Rio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergiu Coșeriu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bret Harper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorel Nedelciu in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Academia Rio's Radu Păvăloae nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bret Harper made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. Bret Harper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radu Păvăloae, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Bret Harper didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorel Nedelciu went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-1 was the resulting score. Guarulhas's Bret Harper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorel Nedelciu in the 80th minute of play. Radu Păvăloae scored 9-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bret Harper, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valeriu Ilinca hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 88 minutes Guarulhas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dumitru Pantelimon who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Academia Rio's Adrian Blănaru to a score. 10-1 in the 88th minute. Zé Paulo Neto hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Luiz Fábio Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The supporters of Guarulhas booed when Academia Rio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Ionete didn't get a good kick on the ball.
