With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marin Jumancă in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Carlos Alvarez saved Marlin FC from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, Huckebein's Marin Jumancă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan Carlos Alvarez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Apolo Santxol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marlin FC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
