In the 3rd minute Dionisio Panpili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Nataniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Taaniel Hill took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Juan Carlos Alvarez to make any attempt to save it. Gerd Treial could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Juan Carlos Alvarez made a huge save. Santiago Nataniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aybek Orcun, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Santiago Nataniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fermin Arixo's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Sven-Ove Kjellman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santiago Nataniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fermin Arixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Ismael Iglesias in the 22nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Brown Puerto Madryn's Aurelio Blanco. Brown Puerto Madryn's Santiago Nataniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aybek Orcun in the 24th minute of play. Brown Puerto Madryn's Muharrem Duman got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Taaniel Hill came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Brown Puerto Madryn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taaniel Hill couldn't finish the play. Santiago Nataniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fermin Arixo in the 36th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Fermin Arixo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Nataniel was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. 39 minutes into the game, Marlin FC's Fermin Arixo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santiago Nataniel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A hard shot by Eleuterio Sedeni from long distance, 46 minutes into the match, got Juan Carlos Alvarez's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Taaniel Hill made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Taaniel Hill came free, but Juan Carlos Alvarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Brown Puerto Madryn's Gerd Treial got a free kick in the 67th minute. Brown Puerto Madryn's Pál Dömötör was substituted for Muharrem Duman. Santiago Nataniel made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Fermin Arixo sent off a good shot on target. Juan Carlos Alvarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislao Salvidor, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After some careless play in the Marlin FC defense, Ladislao Salvidor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Carlos Alvarez. The Marlin FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Carlos Alvarez should have stopped the shot. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Brown Puerto Madryn.
