Sporting de Gijón were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Albigasta FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Saturnino Curcio took the corner. Venancio Emesto was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Albigasta FC were furious when Gaspar Irrintzi was red carded, 31 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Sporting de Gijón booed when Albigasta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Irrintzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albigasta FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rune Fanström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Eulalio Paskal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. 97 minutes into the match, Matias Bilintx notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Albigasta FC's Eulalio Paskal. Eulalio Paskal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Albigasta FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sporting de Gijón were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
