A well done corner resulted in Jedrzej Ikalewicz drilling the ball in to score 2-0 behind PomeziaRamblers's goalkeeper. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Claus Himschoot successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Wittbach SSA booed when PomeziaRamblers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Iezzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grzegorz Motowski in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claus Himschoot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 34 minutes into the match, Wittbach SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Kuido Suursaar came free, but Ján Oblak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Kuido Suursaar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ján Oblak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claus Himschoot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ted Lasso in the 37th minute of play. Grzegorz Motowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claus Himschoot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in PomeziaRamblers's zone, Ted Lasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claus Himschoot came out of the goal and Ted Lasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 42 played minutes Wittbach SSA got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Ayala. After 43 played minutes PomeziaRamblers got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Scibilia.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Kuido Suursaar got free with Ján Oblak in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ted Lasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. PomeziaRamblers's Claus Himschoot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Lasso in the 60th minute of play. Wittbach SSA's Ján Oblak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Wittbach SSA from getting a goal against them. If Bruno Scibilia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ján Oblak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
