ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Remigio Valerón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pacho Mondejar in the 18th minute of play. Juan Carlos Suciu was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Jakes Vila capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jakes Vila really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 23 minutes into the match, Salud y República's goal looked a bit too open when Jakes Vila came free, but Juan Carlos Suciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Carlos Suciu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Reyes in the 28th minute. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Taurino Losantos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juan Carlos Suciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 93 minutes into the match, Guido Escobar notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Salud y República's Juan Carlos Suciu. When the referee ended the match the ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
