Egon Olsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carson Sherrill, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 9 minutes into the game, Westra Aros SK's Gökberk Özgenc nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Wong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Gökberk Özgenc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 13 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Wong had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gökberk Özgenc. Santo Knox's late challenge caught a Westra Aros SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santo Knox helped the player get up and apologised. Santo Knox hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Gökberk Özgenc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westra Aros SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Gökberk Özgenc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Wong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lloyd Warren charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lloyd Warren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Lloyd Warren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22ndth minute of the game Malcolm Neal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Westra Aros SK's Egon Olsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Westra Aros SK booed when Zamalek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santo Knox didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Santo Knox threw the ball into play from the sideline. Westra Aros SK's Jörn Hylander quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jörn Hylander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Wong having to interfere. Gökberk Özgenc might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Wong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gökberk Özgenc ran back to his position shaking his head. 30 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Wong had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gökberk Özgenc. In the 31st minute, Gökberk Özgenc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Wong was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 34 minutes into the match, Westra Aros SK's Gökberk Özgenc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Wong narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Westra Aros SK's Gökberk Özgenc ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricardo Wong. Ricardo Wong yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Gökberk Özgenc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Ricardo Wong made a huge save. Gökberk Özgenc who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Ricardo Wong when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 45th minute, Ismael Jenaro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Westra Aros SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ricardo Wong came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Westra Aros SK's Gökberk Özgenc. But to his dismay, Gökberk Özgenc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Ricardo Wong didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gökberk Özgenc went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Westra Aros SK's Normando Portillo was substituted for Patrik Wacherhausen. Ismael Jenaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörn Hylander in the 64th minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Wong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Ismael Jenaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Wong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ismael Jenaro fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Westra Aros SK's protests and gave Ismael Jenaro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Westra Aros SK getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ismael Jenaro hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the game, Westra Aros SK's Gökberk Özgenc nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Wong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Gökberk Özgenc might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Wong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gökberk Özgenc ran back to his position shaking his head. Ricardo Wong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gökberk Özgenc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, Westra Aros SK's Gökberk Özgenc nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Wong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. After a defensive mix-up in Zamalek FC's zone, Gökberk Özgenc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Wong came out of the goal and Gökberk Özgenc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Westra Aros SK fully deserved thier win.
