The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eusebiu Curea made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Sokratis Symeonakis sent off a good shot on target. Thodoris Tabakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kryspin Walicki in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, RO Army V55's Thomas Kourmoulis got a free kick in the 8th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Kryspin Walicki managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Arges Dacia Pitesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Kryspin Walicki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thodoris Tabakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gigel Birișu kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, RO Army V55's Fanis Kapernekas got a free kick in the 13th minute. Eusebiu Curea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marin Duna in the 23rd minute. In the 32nd minute Mihai Dumitrachescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thodoris Tabakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to RO Army V55 getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Thomas Kourmoulis hit a great ball. Eusebiu Curea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Duna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of RO Army V55 booed when FC Arges Dacia Pitesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliodor Casian didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, FC Arges Dacia Pitesti's goalkeeper Eusebiu Curea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Prodan. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Eusebiu Curea came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by RO Army V55's Fanis Kapernekas. But to his dismay, Fanis Kapernekas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Eusebiu Curea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fanis Kapernekas, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Eusebiu Curea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Duna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd match minute, FC Arges Dacia Pitesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert Rostow to maneuver through the defense. Eusebiu Curea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marin Duna's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Thomas Kourmoulis hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Thomas Kourmoulis fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. Claudiu Iacobeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Mihai Dumitrachescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusebiu Curea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Grigoratos in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, RO Army V55 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Prodan to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Prodan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 83 minutes into the match. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for RO Army V55! Kryspin Walicki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Thodoris Tabakis made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kryspin Walicki in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thodoris Tabakis saved RO Army V55 from getting behind. If Thomas Grigoratos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, FC Arges Dacia Pitesti's goal looked a bit too open when Sokratis Symeonakis came free, but Eusebiu Curea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite being the better team, RO Army V55 failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
