Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Malcolm Neal started the match with the kick off. In the 5th match minute, POPODARA F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Leonidas to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute of the match Lloyd Warren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raymond Halseth showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Federico Mauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Federico Mauro sped through Zamalek FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ricardo Wong. After a defensive mix-up in Zamalek FC's zone, Mats Diallo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Wong came out of the goal and Mats Diallo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Zamalek FC's Gilbert Jordan got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Federico Mauro notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Zamalek FC's Ricardo Wong. Ricardo Wong was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Runar Melum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Wong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mats Diallo in the 37th minute. When Mats Diallo fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored POPODARA F.C's protests and gave Mats Diallo a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes POPODARA F.C got a freekick which was hit by Mats Diallo. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Federico Mauro made a kick off. Zamalek FC's Ricardo Wong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Runar Melum in the 52nd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Mats Diallo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Wong. Zamalek FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mats Diallo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Federico Mauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. POPODARA F.C made a substitution. Vegard Berdal replaced Xavi Hernandez. Ricardo Wong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Mauro, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. During the 72nd minute of the match Mats Diallo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mats Diallo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Mats Diallo hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Zamalek FC defense, Federico Mauro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Wong. The Zamalek FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Wong should have stopped the shot. Federico Mauro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Wong having to interfere. Malcolm Neal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Federico Mauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ricardo Wong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 96 minutes, Runar Melum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. POPODARA F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Runar Melum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. POPODARA F.C walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
