After a defensive mix-up in Los Muchachos del 86's zone, Matias Bilintx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atahan Balon came out of the goal and Matias Bilintx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 17 in the game by Melchor Rosio from a close distance when the talented Atahan Balon managed to make a qualified save. Los Muchachos del 86's players were relieved. 22 minutes into the match, Luka Ljubenković notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sporting de Gijón's Óscar Cordoba. Óscar Cordoba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Los Muchachos del 86's Atahan Balon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Bilintx in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute Wayne Rooney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atahan Balon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Atahan Balon as he didn't even see the shot coming. Matias Bilintxs short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Atahan Balon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sporting de Gijón made a substitution. After 52 played minutes Los Muchachos del 86 got a freekick which was hit by Asiz Soon. Óscar Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luka Ljubenković, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The Los Muchachos del 86 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
