Guansa's Aaron Sandalio got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sporting de Gijón's Melchor Rosio was substituted for Venancio Emesto. After a rather tough play, Sporting de Gijón's Wayne Rooney got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 79th match minute, Sporting de Gijón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauan de Barros to maneuver through the defense.
