In the 28th minute Manolo Bacete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Cutberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alcorcón's corner Leroy Antunez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Donato Cutberto quite easily take care of the ball. Maurino Serena made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when David de Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the game, Torsten Randslef threw the ball into play from the sideline. A.D. Alcorcón's Natxo Cacheres quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some careless play in the 26 de junio defense, Manolo Bacete kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donato Cutberto. The 26 de junio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donato Cutberto should have stopped the shot. In the 47th minute, 26 de junio's David de Alcântara dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for A.D. Alcorcón! A.D. Alcorcón:s Maurino Serena showed great skill when he stopped Gavino Lobo:s penalty. Gavino Lobo did an outstanding performance 58 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-1 to the right of an irritated Maurino Serena in the goal. A.D. Alcorcón's Eriz Acha was substituted for Natxo Cacheres. 67 minutes into the game, 26 de junio's David de Alcântara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maurino Serena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. After some careless play in the A.D. Alcorcón defense, David de Alcântara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maurino Serena. The A.D. Alcorcón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maurino Serena should have stopped the shot. Maurino Serena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 de junio's Donato Cutberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manolo Bacete in the 98th minute of play. 26 de junio's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
