In the 11th minute Anselmo Nevada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Alvarez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Goicoechea in the 12th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when Alfonso Goicoechea made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Linus Fredriksson in the 61st minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fermin Arixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 minutes Club Atlético Atlanta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ismael Iglesias who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Ismael Iglesias almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski did a great save. Marlin FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
