Saturnino Argoitz made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Tadhg Walker sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd minute, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Keelin McStephen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Saturnino Argoitz. Saturnino Argoitz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Byrne Doyle kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Saturnino Argoitz. That made the score 3-0 in the 39 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Geralt McStephen got a free kick in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tadhg Walker was the one to do the kick off. Saturnino Argoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadhg Walker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Espirillo FC's Saturnino Argoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadhg Walker in the 58th minute of play. Vladimiro Jordy kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Saturnino Argoitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tadhg Walker's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 62 minutes into the game, when Geary McBjarton put in a rough tackle. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Zawisza Bydgoszcz! When the match had been going on for 63 minutes, Espirillo FC's Desiderio Goren got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Brain Holt. When Byrne Doyle came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Zawisza Bydgoszcz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Byrne Doyle couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keelin McStephen in the 76th minute of play forced Espirillo FC's goalkeeper Saturnino Argoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saturnino Argoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Byrne Doyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 85th minute, Silvestre Kauldi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saturnino Argoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Byrne Doyle in the 92nd minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Adan Aritza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
