The crowd rose to their feet as José Augusto Lara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Egun Pais. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. A collision led to DIPLOMATA FC PAB getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Olivier Gilg hit a great ball. Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Lopes in the 19th minute of play. Egun Pais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olivier Gilg in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Wilton do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Andy Cole had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 46 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's Andy Cole sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chico Donato narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olivier Gilg to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Andy Cole dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Chico Donato, 2-2. 53 minutes into the match, Niculae Martinescu notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais. Egun Pais was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Chico Donato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save DIPLOMATA FC PAB from getting a goal against them. Délio Furtado replaced Olivier Gilg. The supporters of DIPLOMATA FC PAB booed when Floresta Negra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jardel Lewandowski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Chico Donato when he managed to save the team from getting behind. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
