Franco Sampler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute, José Augusto Lara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franco Sampler was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Niculae Martinescu took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franco Sampler. Franco Sampler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Franco Sampler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Kent Lindberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mercado Paulista F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 33 minutes into the game, Kent Lindberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Chico Donato was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Franco Sampler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rikard Nordin during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Mercado Paulista F.C getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Rikard Nordin hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the match, Olivier Gilg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Franco Sampler, 3-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

In the 60th minute, Olivier Gilg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franco Sampler was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Franco Sampler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olivier Gilg, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Cristian de Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Chico Donato made a huge save. Mercado Paulista F.C's Victoriano Escobar was substituted for Atilano Acosta. The corner ended in Felix Marino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Chico Donato did a great save. Franco Sampler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Lopes in the 79th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian de Lima got free with Chico Donato in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute Mercado Paulista F.C were awarded a corner. Felix Marino went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goalie and right to Cristian de Lima. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Cristian de Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Chico Donato made a huge save. Wilton do Valle was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 88 minutes into the match. Felix Marino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Chico Donato. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 92 played minutes DIPLOMATA FC PAB got a freekick which was hit by José Augusto Lara. Cristian de Lima's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Chico Donato skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Mercado Paulista F.C's Felix Marino quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pars Yorgun, made in the 97th minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mercado Paulista F.C players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for DIPLOMATA FC PAB.
