An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Cordaryal in the 16th minute of play forced Black Cloud FC's goalkeeper Şener Yurtseven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Siro Dantel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Koča Yarangga in the 18th minute. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Apolo Abeitia put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Şener Yurtseven. In the 24th minute Apolo Abeitia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şener Yurtseven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Koča Yarangga struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Siro Dantel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Black Cloud FC. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Apolo Abeitia to make the kick off.
