The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Meti Gol in the 3rd minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Basilio Justin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute of the match Dionisio Monico shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nacho Gonzalez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Real Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Larpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Atlanta's zone, Erling Jering stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Justin came out of the goal and Erling Jering tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Jonatan Felipo made a precise shot to the right of Nacho Gonzalez. Real Racing Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Joaquin Fonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Nacho Gonzalez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Erling Jering had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basilio Justin came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Racing Club's Meti Gol. But to his dismay, Meti Gol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. A collision led to Real Racing Club getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Luisito Gelmiro hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erling Jering in the 46th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Basilio Justin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Ranolfo charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardo Ranolfo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Ranolfo to maneuver through the defense. The Club Atlético Atlanta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Real Racing Club were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonatan Felipo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 76th minute, Real Racing Club's Emiliano Henry ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Basilio Justin. Basilio Justin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Jonatan Felipo scored 2-5 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nacho Gonzalez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, Real Racing Club's Basilio Justin threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Meti Gol, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Meti Gol in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Basilio Justin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 88thth minute of the game Erling Jering who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Basilio Justin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emiliano Henry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the game, Meti Gol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-6. Basilio Justin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Real Racing Club's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
