In the 5th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Fonso to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Gaston Joanes hit a great ball. Sandu Bâru struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Basilio Justin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BVB 09. Sandu Bâru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Basilio Justin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to BVB 09 getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Marian Morovan hit a great ball. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when BVB 09 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Ploieșteanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonatan Felipo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonatan Felipo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Mirciulescu having to interfere. With a little luck, BVB 09's Filip Mirciulescu got control of the ball when Jonatan Felipo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sandu Bâru to strike the kick off in the second half. BVB 09 were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Club Atlético Atlanta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marius Agulescu took the corner. After 53 played minutes BVB 09 got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Mihăilă. Basilio Justin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandu Bâru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Basilio Justin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marian Morovan. In the 63rd minute, Jonatan Felipo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Fonso in the 66th minute of play forced BVB 09's goalkeeper Filip Mirciulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 played minutes Sandu Bâru rounded Club Atlético Atlanta's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-1. Club Atlético Atlanta's Leonardo Paulin was substituted for Joaquin Fonso. Bernardo Ranolfo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Mirciulescu having to interfere. After 77 played minutes BVB 09 got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Mihăilă. 79 minutes into the match, BVB 09's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Felipo came free, but Filip Mirciulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Dionisio Monico got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Filip Mirciulescu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Leonard Mihăilă hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Leonardo Paulin spun around in front of the goal 89 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of BVB 09's goal. 92 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Basilio Justin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marian Morovan. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. BVB 09 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
