Víctor Urioste started the match with the kick off. Bernardo Ranolfo might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Mejia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Ranolfo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 6th minute, Vela Garros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A. GUAYACO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. GUAYACO's zone, Jonatan Felipo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Mejia came out of the goal and Jonatan Felipo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dionisio Monico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 minutes of play, C.A. GUAYACO's Víctor Urioste made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basilio Justin was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Víctor Urioste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 32 minutes, Víctor Urioste managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. GUAYACO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Víctor Urioste was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vela Garros's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Atlanta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vela Garros helped the player get up and apologised. Club Atlético Atlanta's Dionisio Monico got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dionisio Monico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

Dionisio Monico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Hugo Mejia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basilio Justin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Víctor Urioste, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustin Pacho hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Víctor Urioste could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Basilio Justin made a huge save. After 62 minutes, Jonatan Felipo made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. C.A. GUAYACO's Hugo Mejia tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hugo Mejia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Felipo in the 69th minute of play. If Jonatan Felipo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atlético Atlanta made a substitution. Leonardo Paulin replaced Joaquin Fonso. In the 76th match minute, C.A. GUAYACO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando Bordonoba to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of C.A. GUAYACO booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Joanes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Víctor Urioste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
