Bart Schild recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 23 in the game by Maikel Dol from a close distance when the talented Norbert Domenech managed to make a qualified save. Herblay's players were relieved. Lucien Decottignies hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maikel Dol got free with Norbert Domenech in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. During the 27th minute of the match Josselin Alain completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Josselin Alain a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 28 played minutes, Decathlon Dudes's Stefan Waterreus shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Norbert Domenech came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Decathlon Dudes reached it. Alex Deinse struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Norbert Domenech didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Decathlon Dudes. 36 minutes into the match, Alex Deinse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Norbert Domenech. Herblay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alex Deinse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michael Broers during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44thth minute of the game Jean-Charles Gauche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Decathlon Dudes's Gerrit Kemper was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 45th minute, Bennie Wilson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 minutes, Dove Roig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Herblay and the Decathlon Dudes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Herblay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dove Roig to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Maikel Dol made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Maikel Dol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Norbert Domenech was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Jean-Charles Gauche took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Gerrit Kemper to make any attempt to save it. Norbert Domenech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maikel Dol in the 57th minute of play. Norbert Domenech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Waterreus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean-Charles Gauche hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Norbert Domenech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Deinse in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Alex Deinse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Norbert Domenech was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Bennie Wilson was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When Decathlon Dudes's Alex Deinse, in the 78th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Decathlon Dudes.
