An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Goicoechea in the 4th minute of play forced Piratas FC's goalkeeper Victorino Gaufred to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfonso Goicoechea took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victorino Gaufred. Victorino Gaufred dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Florentino Sendoa fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piratas FC's protests and gave Florentino Sendoa a yellow card for diving instead. Victorino Gaufred took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Jaizki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorino Gaufred made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Nevada in the 17th minute of play. Victorino Gaufred showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Jaizki in the 18th minute of the match. Anselmo Nevada charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anselmo Nevada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Anselmo Nevada hit a great ball. If Damian Precioso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Piratas FC's Florentino Sendoa got a free kick in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Nevada in the 28th minute of play forced Piratas FC's goalkeeper Victorino Gaufred to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Piratas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Martxot didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Ciro Ferdinand shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victorino Gaufred showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Alfonso Goicoechea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victorino Gaufred was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. After 40 played minutes Piratas FC got a freekick which was hit by David Aimar. In the 41st minute of the match Paolo Caradaro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victorino Gaufred showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 42nd minute, Amadeo Francesco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Piratas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Birjaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciro Ferdinand recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amadeo Francesco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Pankracy Glogowski made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Damian Precioso made the kick off in the second half. Victorino Gaufred made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Goicoechea in the 52nd minute of play. After 57 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Erroman. After having played for 58 minutes, David Cordarius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piratas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Cordarius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Piratas FC's Florentino Sendoa got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Eustaquio Jaizki made a precise shot to the right of Victorino Gaufred. Piratas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After some careless play in the Piratas FC defense, Eustaquio Jaizki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victorino Gaufred. The Piratas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victorino Gaufred should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Piratas FC's Victorino Gaufred got control of the ball when Alfonso Goicoechea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victorino Gaufred made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Nevada in the 71st minute. If Amadeo Francesco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Alfonso Goicoechea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Eustaquio Jaizki dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Victorino Gaufred, 0-4. In the 83rd minute Eustaquio Jaizki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Gaufred saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atlético Atlanta were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Piratas FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ciro Ferdinand took the corner. 91 minutes into the match, Alfonso Goicoechea notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Piratas FC's Victorino Gaufred. Victorino Gaufred was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Piratas FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club Atlético Atlanta's performance. The match ended with a win for Club Atlético Atlanta.
