With a little luck, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo got control of the ball when Gong Qi Fan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 9th minute Playa Malvín were awarded a corner. Stelian Murgu went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Stelian Murgu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo did a great save. 11 minutes into the match, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gong Qi Fan. The supporters of Dep Colonia Avellaneda booed when Playa Malvín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gong Qi Fan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gamus Rocha helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 played minutes Playa Malvín got a freekick which was hit by Gamus Rocha. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Darryl Buckner made a kick off. When Gong Qi Fan came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Playa Malvín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gong Qi Fan couldn't finish the play. Playa Malvín's Nils Elmhuus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darryl Buckner in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th match minute, Dep Colonia Avellaneda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascual Lesardo to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Gong Qi Fan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Playa Malvín fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Playa Malvín made a substitution. Chris Tian replaced Jabier Igual.
