Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Darryl Buckner got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Octavian Nicolescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victoriano Bernaldo was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darryl Buckner got free with Iwo Domarecki in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 48 minutes Dep Colonia Avellaneda's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leroy Parkinson who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Spartan FC Mogilany's Vsevolod Mischenko getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Victoriano Bernaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Ulici in the 48th minute of play. 50 minutes into the match, Spartan FC Mogilany's Octavian Nicolescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victoriano Bernaldo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Eric Florescu kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Spartan FC Mogilany's Iwo Domarecki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Rosa in the 58th minute of play. Victoriano Bernaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavian Nicolescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 72ndth minute of the game Darryl Buckner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Spartan FC Mogilany's Iwo Domarecki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Claudio Cerritos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Iwo Domarecki in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Darryl Buckner came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Dep Colonia Avellaneda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darryl Buckner couldn't finish the play. Iwo Domarecki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Buckner, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Iwo Domarecki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wei Li in the 77th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eric Florescu during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Dep Colonia Avellaneda booed when Spartan FC Mogilany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. With an all-out effort, Spartan FC Mogilany's Victoriano Bernaldo threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Konstanty Smolarek, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Darryl Buckner scored 6-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iwo Domarecki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Sever Ulici managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spartan FC Mogilany's supporters rose to their feet, but Sever Ulici was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoriano Bernaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
