Pankracy Glogowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gianluca Vialli in the 6th minute of the match. Falckner FC's Gianluca Vialli got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goalkeeper Loco De la Maza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mugur Chiriac. After 32 minutes Falckner FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ciro Ferdinand who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Club Atlético Atlanta's corner Anselmo Nevada fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Loco De la Maza quite easily take care of the ball. The audience was convinced that Mugur Chiriac's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Loco De la Maza was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Loco De la Maza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Nevada in the 36th minute. Alfonso Goicoechea came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Loco De la Maza could save by the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gianluca Vialli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Goicoechea in the 53rd minute of play forced Falckner FC's goalkeeper Loco De la Maza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emil Chwalkiewicz made in the 55th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Anselmo Nevada. Gianluca Vialli might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pankracy Glogowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gianluca Vialli ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gianluca Vialli got free with Pankracy Glogowski in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paolo Caradaro's late challenge caught a Falckner FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paolo Caradaro helped the player get up and apologised. Paolo Caradaro kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. When Gianluca Vialli came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Falckner FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gianluca Vialli couldn't finish the play. Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gianluca Vialli 67 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Club Atlético Atlanta's Benigno Abreu was substituted for Remigio Erramu. 72 minutes into the match, Segundo San Segundo sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Pankracy Glogowski threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Segundo San Segundo this time. 79 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mugur Chiriac came free, but Loco De la Maza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Goicoechea in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Loco De la Maza saved Falckner FC from getting behind. Alfonso Goicoechea took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Loco De la Maza. Loco De la Maza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 93 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's Gianluca Vialli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pankracy Glogowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Falckner FC were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Club Atlético Atlanta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gianluca Vialli took the corner. In the 96th minute, Gilberto Librado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
