The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Harri Takavirta put in a rough tackle. When the match had been going on for 46 minutes, Ad Fundum's Manfred Bruse got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rouven Nussli.
The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabian Zăreanu got free with Kajetan Dawiec in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kajetan Dawiec made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Fabian Zăreanu sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tran Vrolijcx in the 55th minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Rouven Nussli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ad Fundum's Tran Vrolijcx managed to work through Champions Iasi's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Tran Vrolijcx dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 61 minutes Ad Fundum's goalkeeper Kajetan Dawiec managed, with a little bit of luck, save Stefan Pieters's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Ad Fundum's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Stefan Pieters scored to the left of an out of position Kajetan Dawiec, making the score, 1-3. Kajetan Dawiec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Hakan Akçay, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Jordi Paschiers hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 88th match minute, Ad Fundum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Baldaia to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute Stefan Pieters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kajetan Dawiec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ad Fundum's Kajetan Dawiec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Hakan Akçay in the 94th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ad Fundum defense, Pontus Fagrell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kajetan Dawiec. The Ad Fundum fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kajetan Dawiec should have stopped the shot.
